Productivity Tip – Maximize Sunday To Get A Head Start on Monday

If you are someone that’s likes to kick back and do completely nothing on Sunday you are not cut out to be an entrepreneur. Running a business, being the boss or taking control of your life will require you to work more than 37.5 hours per week

Weekly Practice

For over the last four years, I have been using Sundays’ as a day to recharge, evaluate and prepare for the following week. This practice helps me to stay motivated, focused and moves me closer to my “ideal scene”.

The Competition

The competition in any industry at the moment is brutal. To be able to thrive and prosper, you have to do what other people are not willing to do. While your competition rests on Sundays, you should be doing everything you can to move forward, serve your customers and add value. When most people are just getting started on a Monday morning. If you use your Sunday properly you will be a lot further in the race. Multiply this over weeks and the differences are massive.

Tie Up All Your Loose Ends

Try to finish the activities that you started during the week. Even small tasks which left unfinished take up your thoughts and energy and can quickly lead into a bigger problem. Clear up all your tasks and get caught up on everything. So, when Monday comes around you can have a fresh start.

Review Your Week

Take some time every week to review your week. Schedule a time in advance on when you plan on doing this during the week. I ask myself questions like:

  • What worked well?
  • What did not?
  • What did I learn?
  • What should you I do more of?
  • What should I stop doing?

Plan Out Your Week

The Schedule

What does this upcoming week look like for you? It is a good idea to write out a weekly schedule that you can follow. I do not expect to follow my own schedule a 100% of the time but it does give me a guideline. Ideas to put on your schedule include: people to meet, gym schedules, meetings, social activities, etc.

How to Have an Awesome Week

What are one or two things that if you could accomplish this week that would make for an amazing week? Take some time to sit and write out 3-5 things that you can do. Choose one or two and get figure out a way to make it work.

Get Some Rest

It is important to work hard and hustle as much as you can but make sure to schedule in times throughout the week where you get some rest. Rest helps increase your focus and enjoy your hustle more. Get quality rest, do not just fill your mind up with the garbage that you get from the T.V. or media, instead, spend some quality time with family or friends, meet with a mastermind group, get a massage, go to a sauna, or even meditate.
